What You'll Do

This position will be located at our Corporate Office: 2355 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027

Responsible for leading and support of the Mortgage Servicing team; ensures accurate and timely servicing of the C.U. portfolio loans; oversees the production of loan documentation relating to onboarding, servicing and closing of all mortgage and equity loans; ensures loans and agreements comply with state and federal laws, regulations and Bank lending policies and procedures; ensures department activities run smoothly and efficiently; provides leadership, peer training and "Play to Win" spirit within the department; and provides a high level of customer relations and service. The position of Mortgage Servicer II has a leadership mindset, performs direct support duties of department, takes initiative to coordinate with team for coverage for Mortgage Servicing in all related areas of the department, and is required to be fully knowledgeable and skilled in all areas of OneAZ Credit Union portfolio loans, construction loans, escrow holdback products, conventional, and home equity loan programs as well as servicing these loans. Will also support and service loans serviced by our third-party servicer for Fannie Mae Sold loans including loan pool transfers, held for sale FNMA sold loans. Monitor Arm loan changes and adjustments/notices including balloon loans. Assist in training of servicing positions and creation/maintaining of policy and procedures as needed. Works directly with Leadership to resolve issues for member mortgage loans.

  • Works directly with sub-servicer (DMI) for member assistance, maintenance, research and payment corrections. Review and submit daily branch payments.
  • Coordinate construction loan servicing draws and escrow holdback draws.
  • Assist in all quarterly/annual CORE system updates and testing as required.
  • Work with resolving any post-closing issues or deficiencies by submitting back to Operations for corrections.
  • Prepares set-up/cancellation of Automated Clearing House (ACH) drafts for internal transfer loan payment request.
  • Coordinates review and payment for monthly PMI/LPMI mortgage insurance billings.
  • Assists with phone queue calls, email, branch request for member loan request, including research and problem resolution.
  • Assists Risk department with annual audit request and review functions as needed.
  • Reviews weekly reports for Hazard insurance premium payments including working with collateral protection insurance (CPI) vendor.
  • Assist in training of servicing positions and creation/maintenance of policy and procedures as needed.
  • Reviews semi-annual reports for payment of property taxes.
  • Assist members, associates and leadership with Arizona annual escrow analysis requirements.
  • Develops working knowledge of department general ledger account balancing in accordance with established department procedures.
  • Board and quality review Portfolio loans within CORE Servicing system.
  • Assist with the creation and approvals of incoming/outgoing wires as needed.
  • Assist closing with daily completion of original deeds to various counties for recording.
  • Assist with Escrow holdback loans and servicing disbursement payments.
  • Work with CPI vendor on insurance requirements.
  • Collaborates on servicing projects.
  • Assists with the release of deeds of trust and trailing recorded documents.
  • Assist with submission of Fannie Mae (FNMA) loans for purchase and data extract to servicer.
  • Assists with filing title policies, deeds of trust, hazard insurance statements, recorded reconveyance, and related paperwork in real estate files, providing loan information to branches, members, and outside agencies.
  • Assists with processing loan payoffs and lien releases.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Associate's Degree Two-year college degree or completion of specialized course of study.
  • 3 to 5 years of similar or related experience in the financial industry.
  • 3 to 5 years mortgage or related experience preferred. Preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of mortgage loan servicing and lending practices. (High proficiency)
  • Knowledge of and mortgage closing/funding a plus.
  • Knowledge of Arizona county recording requirements.
  • Understanding of Arizona escrow analysis requirements.
