We have an opening for an Applications Engineer (ServiceNow). ServiceNow is the enterprise platform at Paul Hastings LLP. It is utilized globally as the system of truth for Change Requests, Configuration Management (CMDB), Incidents, IT Asset Management, Knowledge Management System, Problems, Service Requests, etc. Effective support of this platform is essential to the business operations of the firm. The Applications Engineer position plays an important role in ensuring the health, stability and security of the platform as well as extending its use at the firm. In this capacity, the Applications Engineer will: * Lead administrative duties ties to the ServiceNow platform including upgrades, configuration changes, etc.; * Assist with developing code per best practices of ServiceNow for enhancements; * Assist in monitoring the MID Servers to ensure adequate uptime & accurate configuration; * Day to day support of the ServiceNow platform and core capabilities; * Help design & build integrations, alongside ServiceNow administrators with various systems (especially using Integration Hub); * Ability to gather and document business requirements, write detailed user stories, and define acceptance criteria using Agile/Scrum methodologies; * Ensure the platform adheres to corporate Security Policy as well as ISO 27001/2 requirements; * Install & maintains ServiceNow patches up to date; * Learns the corporate ITSM processes to address Change Requests, Incidents, Problems, etc.; * Support process compliance and governance; and * Development of Dashboards and Reporting for the business. Proficiencies: * Understanding of ServiceNow best practices in coding, workflows, etc.; * Knowledge of ITIL & ITSM is preferred; * Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB best practices is highly desired including Common Services Data Model (CSDM), Discovery (Automated Horizontal Discovery), & Service Mapping (Automated Vertical Discovery); and * Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work with diverse groups. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; * Minimum of 4 years of experience in ITSM, ITOM modules; * Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT Operations working with a variety of IT teams; * Minimum of 4 years of experience in ServiceNow platform; and * ServiceNow HAM Pro experience preferred. The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is a minimum of $100,900 and a maximum of $131,100 annually. The actual pay wage may vary based on experience or other relevant factors.
