Responsibilities:



  • Plan Quality Assurance and food safety tasks to be followed on the floor by proper use of the Production Schedule. Print and review schedules ahead of time.
  • Ensures that Quality Assurance techs, specifications, pictures, labels and any other Quality Assurance tools are properly issued on time to the floor based on production schedules.
  • Make sure all Good Manufacturing Practices Audits, glass/plastic audits, et cetera are completed.
  • Verifies documentation is accurate, complete and compliant.
  • Compiles quantitative and qualitative data
  • Assist cross-functional teams in investigating non-conformities and documenting corrective actions
  • Assist FSQA Supervisors with overseeing daily workload for each technician on each shift. As needed, assist with covering the shift in the absence of a Quality Assurance technician.
  • Responsible for training new Quality Assurance technicians and assist them in problem solving with Production personnel.
  • Assist in continuous improvement projects including SOP creation, training implementation and regular verification activities
  • Organize and file all daily Critical Control Point documentation and reports by shift, making sure all paperwork is thorough and complete.
  • Sign off daily on all preventive control records and make sure that they are filled out correctly.
  • Coordinate communication of quality assurance and/or food safety issues with the production supervisory personnel and FSQA leadership.
  • Generates the Non-conformance reports and follows-up on ingredients placed on hold.
  • Works to maintain and improve on the quality, legality and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture.
  • Responsible for always keeping assigned work area clean and tidy and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain digital record keeping, including inventory holds, technical data, and tracking continuous improvement projects
  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant food safety and quality assurance experience in an automated food processing plant.


Shift: 1st

Hourly Rate: $21-$24
