Senior Data Analyst

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Senior Data Analyst: Pay commensurate with experience.

Senior Data Analyst Responsibilities Include:

• Provide data analysis support to state-based program evaluations to build evaluation capacity to improve programs/projects Generate data retrievals and summary outputs
• Develop guides, manuals, or technical reports that facilitate the adoption of effective interventions and strategies
• Provide evaluation expertise and technical assistance to CDC staff and other partners
• Conduct quantitative data analysis and synthesize results for dissemination to an array of partners and stakeholders
• Perform data analysis and develop specific recommendations to augment the improvement of State-based NOFOs and evaluation research project
• Develop presentations and/or coordinate speakers for the Division meetings, including creating web content and success stories that highlight the work of State-based NOFOs
• Identify the science base that underlies Division strategies by conducting evidence reviews
• Pinpoint best and promising practices through partner interviews, data collection, and literature reviews; develop dissemination products such as one-page overviews, 2-3-page reports, or 8-10-page guidance documents; and the disseminate findings to various partners and stakeholders
• Create presentation including graphics, and communicate findings to internal and external audiences
• Work independently and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Senior Data Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Master's degree with a minimum of three years of experience. Experience can substitute for the master's degree for candidates with work experience but not college training.
• Proficient knowledge of data visualization, statistical methods, data science tools, data analytics, tools for large datasets, and working with performance measures
• Knowledge of research methods, statistical theory, and techniques; social theory, principles, and problems
• Organizational skills demonstrating high attention to detail and the ability to organize multiple priorities
• Experience in applying quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide actionable insights
• Competency to perform non-routine and complex assignments
• Capacity to be a liaison between data custodians and CDC
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Previous experience supporting CDC or equivalent federal agency preferred
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
