This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of the production schedules based on customer requirements, demand forecast plus safety stock replenishment. Responsibilities include execution of the production schedule as a result of MRP output to maintain balance between supply, demand and inventory levels, taking into consideration the available capacity, material availability and customer required delivery dates. Communicates to sales support, purchasing and customer service the planned customer order ship dates, bottlenecks and shortages.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Create, maintain, and update production schedules for all products.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to expedite material shortages and ensure timely availability.
  • Lead production control meetings, act as the liaison for customer order ship dates, and complete all assigned follow-up actions.
  • Communicate material shortages and resolutions to management and production teams.
  • Facilitate the flow and sequencing of materials between various work areas.
  • Provide Sales with accurate order ship dates and promptly communicate any scheduling changes.
  • Support Purchasing functions as needed, including:


    • Cycle counting
    • Expediting open purchase orders
    • Item master maintenance
    • Rescheduling deliveries in alignment with customer requirements


  • Adhere to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate with Shipping and Receiving to manage incoming shipments on a daily basis.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer systems and data entry; strong organizational skills required.
  • Exhibit excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; must be a strong team player.
  • Work independently with a high degree of motivation and accountability.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track and manage KPIs related to customer orders, including fill rate and on-time delivery.
  • Utilize advanced ERP/MRP and Excel skills for data analysis and process tracking.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook, including safety protocols under AWAIR and other applicable programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



REQUIREMENTS



  • 1-3 years of experience in a Planning position.
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and processes.
  • Strong background in ERP an understanding of master scheduling in a Build-to-Order and Make-to-Stock processes.


  • Experience with Microsoft products including Excel


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Must have the ability to complete assignments within the time frame specified by the Manager.
  • Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to execute physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch). Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
