Job Description

UMKC's School of Graduate Studies (SGS) is seeking qualified applicants for a Senior Office Support Assistant role. This role will report to the Senior Program Manager of SGS. Highlighted responsibilities for this role include:

  • Be the face of the SGS front desk, answer e-mail and phone
  • Maintain calendars/schedules of Dean, Associate Dean, Graduate program directors and coordinators, Graduate Studies events
  • Create and distribute announcements/communication to Graduate Students and Faculty
  • Pull data reports at request of SGS Deans and Sr. Program Manager
  • Maintain and update SGS website
  • Oversee supply orders by working with our fiscal team
  • Oversee online paperwork approvals on behalf of SGS, through our new online space GradProRoo
  • Other duties as assigned
Shift

This position is in-office and not eligible for remote or hybrid scheduling. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience working in higher education
  • Strong written/verbal communication and organization skills
Anticipated Hiring Range

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
