Opportunity Overview:Quality Control/Quality Assurance Technician - CONTRACT for Fall 2025 Outage Work

Westinghouse/WECTEC Staffing has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control/Quality Assurance Technician to support outage work for the Fall, 2025 outage. This is seasonal/short term work (for the duration of the outage only). Could potentially lead to future outage assignments based on performance.

The Quality Control/Quality Assurance Technicianis responsible for oversight and inspection of in-process field service activities (work scope dependent). Oversight/Assurance of implementation of quality program requirements.

What your day-to-day looks like:



  • Works with blueprints, sketches, production diagrams, and engineering drawings to determine critical quality characteristics and the inspection methodology to validate critical to qualify characteristics of components.
  • Use inspection tools and gages including calipers, micrometers, and other testing equipment used in the fabrication, welding, and machining of materials to determine if components meet quality specifications.
  • Monitoring and measuring product quality
  • Timely inspection of materials, components, and assemblies to ensure compliance to specifications and industry standards.
  • Identify and contain non-conforming material. Properly quarantine, document, and communicate all non-conforming materials based on procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance for project quality concerns.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance for inspection requirements, documentation, and traceability in a highly regulated industry.
  • Identify potential errors and assist in document control & procedure change requests.



What we need to see from you:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of experience in a quality inspection role in a related industry required
  • 5 years of experience in a quality inspection role supporting a machining and/or welding operation in a regulated environment preferred.
  • Understanding of ASME Codes, 10CFR50, NQA-1, and ANSI are a plus
  • Strong communication skills both orally and in writing
  • Strong computer skills
  • Level II per SNT-TC-1A for Liquid Penetrant preferred
  • VT certification per CWI or ANSI N45.2 preferred
