This role is within Chamberlain Group's Sales function. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Drive new business acquisition in the Commercial Business Unit, focusing on Commercial (CAS) products, (ii) Achieve sales growth plan goals through the break specification of projects with LiftMaster products, including frequency of installation; work cross-functionally to ensure achievement of key sales performance indicators. (iii) Understand the respective product line inside and out, and be able to communicate that effectively to customers, prospects and industry influencers alike, (iv) Track prospects in a sales pipeline and (v) Build and manage relationships with national and regional commercial developers and installing commercial dealers on overall programs. Requires 5+ years of sales/marketing in the commercial construction industry; experience with architectural specifications and sales. Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years relevant field experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and create a pipeline of prospects and track to closure, providing reporting at each step of the journey on Customer Relationship Management Tool (Sales Force)

  • Utilize Commercial Project tracking tools and specification software/ platforms to generate and follow-up on leads to fulfill the sales pipeline; determine best approach to close sales

  • Lead and oversee break specification projects in partnership with key dealers, suppliers and installers

  • Achieve sales growth plan goals through the break specification process of LiftMaster products, including frequency of installation; work cross-functionally to ensure achievement of key sales performance indicators

  • Partner with sales team to work cross functionally and work with commercial installing dealers/ suppliers

  • Build and manage relationships with national and regional commercial developers on overall programs

  • Lead pre and post installation meetings for major accounts and projects; assist with revisions, coordination, and requests for information during all phases of the project

  • Demonstrate and communicate an understanding of contract documents as required to assist dealer/ installer partners

  • Secure LiftMaster family of product as the exclusive brand used within projects targeted for break specification program

  • Develop functional success metrics for team, including tracking, spec rate, wins and misses for reporting to Leadership; develop and implement plans to improve performance against identified metrics

  • Utilize Customer Relationship Management, commercial project trackers and specification software tools; create hardware sets, editing master specification, reviewing shop drawings of distributor submittals, and providing expert analysis on product applications for projects in various markets

  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

  • Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of relevant field experience

  • 5+ years of sales/marketing in the construction industry; experience with architectural specifications and sales; working knowledge of mechanical and electronic solutions, including options spanning from mechanical access/egress control to total facility; advanced understanding of electricity and electronic components

  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

  • Highly motivated with good planning, organization and prioritizing skills

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Team skills, both as a leader and team member

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time internationally and domestically; valid driver's license

Preferred:

  • AIA CSI Certifications

  • Marketing and sales management experience associated with the new construction industry

  • Knowledge of the specification process

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Overall knowledge of Commercial Door Operators and Gate Operating Systems distribution and dealer sales is a plus

  • Experience with products in Divisions (08, 11, 28 & 32) is a plus

The payrange for this position is $106,450.00 - $175,350.00; base payoffered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
