Responsibilities
Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Manager to oversee contract management and supply chain activities for both commercial and government programs. The Contract Manager will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and modifications to ensure compliance with corporate, legal and regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of government contracting, procurement processes, and contract lifecycle management, with the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively. Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including service agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), subcontracts, and amendments.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal guidelines, and government regulations (FAR, DFARS, etc.).
- Manage contract lifecycle from initiation through closeout, ensuring timely project set up, execution and adherence to all deliverables.
- Collaborate with internal teams (legal, procurement, finance, and operations) to gather necessary input and resolve contract-related issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related questions, interpretations, and issues.
- Monitor and manage contract performance and property tracking, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, and resolving any disputes or discrepancies.
- Maintain a contract repository and track contract modifications, renewals, and extensions.
- Assist in preparing proposals and contract documents for government and commercial opportunities, including reviewing terms and conditions to ensure risk mitigation.
- Provide contract status updates and reporting to senior management, offering recommendations for improvements in contract management processes.
- Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and compliance requirements for government contracting.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Contract Management, Law, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field, preferably in the engineering, technology, or government contracting sectors.
- Strong knowledge of government contracting regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and other related standards.
- Experience managing the full contract lifecycle, from proposal to closeout, with a proven ability to negotiate favorable terms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail in contract language and compliance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple contracts and deadlines concurrently.
- Proficiency in contract management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with financial and legal terminology.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve contract disputes and ensure favorable outcomes for the company.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with both commercial and government clients, including familiarity with GSA schedules and IDIQ contracts.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements specific to defense, aerospace, or similar industries.
- Experience using ERP and CLM systems for project/contract management
