UC Riverside's Transportation and Parking Services is recruiting for a Senior Building Maintenance Worker. The full salary range for the Senior Building Maintenance Worker is $24.13 - $31.84 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
The Senior Building Maintenance Worker (SBMW) assists with the performance of maintenance and beautification services in and around Transportation Services facilities. Incumbent will complete maintenance work in campus parking lots, information kiosks, department buildings, and shuttle stops on and around the campus. May instruct and train unskilled assistants. Performs a wide variety of special projects including furniture and equipment moves, preparation for installation of outdoor signage, underground pipe, and equipment, routine organizing and cleaning of storage facilities. Performs repairs on equipment such as gasoline powered pressure washers, similar power equipment. Assists in selected portions of overall larger projects as related to SBMW position scope. Provides assistance to Skilled Crafts staff to move mechanical equipment, change filters, and perform other non-trades level support functions. Performs and assists with performing preventive maintenance work. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions tools and equipment used in the performance of maintenance and special projects work. Performs hands-on maintenance work on facilities and equipment at SBMW level. Performs work according to unit priorities as established by the supervisor. Provide customer service and support to all members of the campus community as related to the operations of Transportation Services including providing details on campus access and parking rules and regulations, campus events, and provide support for the operation of physical and online parking fee payment systems. Assists with responding to emergency situations to mitigate and/or resolve immediate facility maintenance concerns or safety issues. Performs all job duties in adherence with university and departmental safety guidelines. Maintains a positive attitude and communicates effectively with colleagues, supervisors, staff, residents and guests.
