Job Description

The Utilities Specialist manages utility compliance by performing various tasks related to the setup of utility services. The Utilities Specialist partners with third-party utility vendors and various departments to provide a seamless move-in experience for Tricon residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein. Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

  • Support residents with any utility-related questions and provide a full resolution within the established service level agreement.

  • Ensure third-party vendor activates all utilities prior to the resident's scheduled lease start date.

  • Escalate utility inquires and requests by clarifying and delivering the critical information for completion.

  • Communicate consistently with our residents, to determine and demonstrate appropriate urgency and response plans for the critical and unique nature of their needs.

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the utility process and anticipate resident escalations

  • Maintain an extensive understanding of resident-facing programs and platforms, such as smart home technology, Pathlight resident portal and App, SMS maintenance platform, and any other resident-facing programs or processes.

  • Influences the development, implementation, and administration of Sustainability/ESG programs to support the achievement of objectives clearly, consistently and transparently.

  • Review reports from third-party vendor (Conservice) to track activation progress, provide required documents, and ensure accuracy.

  • Monitor exceptions Act as a liaison between internal departments and external partners by investigating and problem-solving activation delays, disconnects, and areas where presence is required

Qualifications:

  • Passion for customer service and helping others achieve their goals.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

  • Problem-solver who is energized by dealing with a variety of challenges in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

  • Able to adapt effectively to a constantly changing environment.

  • Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Proven customer service skills both internal and external.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects and tasks, manage time and work independently.

  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience

Preferred Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Knowledge in residential leasing and/or property management experience

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.

$37,870.00 - $56,810.00
