Core Responsibilities:



  • Supervise all hourly personnel in the Inspection department, CMM department and FPI.
  • Perform weekly payroll timekeeping for all hourly employees in the Inspection department, CMM, FPI, Material Testing Laboratory and Document Control.
  • Manage the priorities of the production workload in the Inspection department, CMM, FPI and the Material Testing Laboratory to meet our customer delivery commitments.
  • Create Quality communication and lead training for operators on non-conformances being manufactured on the production floor.
  • Participate in daily status of all MRR carts to achieve a 24 hour turn time.
  • To be the Quality lead in our drive to "Zero Defects" by collaborating with engineering and production in the reduction of COPQ.
  • Create Quality metrics as required by the Quality Manager and communicate those metrics by posting in each department.
  • Calculate daily utilization and efficiency for each department.
  • Maintain strong communication with the internal management team and all operators within the facility.
  • Complete SAE training and learn the DQR shipping responsibilities to provide backup for the Inspection department when necessary.
  • Assist Quality Engineering on activities such as FAI's, concessions, NPI, PPAP, GR&R and PFMEA's.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities assigned by the Quality Manager.


Qualifications:



  • 5 years minimum experience required in a supervisory role preferred
  • Knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance systems, processes and techniques
  • Strong root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action skills
  • Familiar with measurement and test equipment operation and calibration in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with quality inspection equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to interface with all levels of the internal organization.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point, and Access
  • Candidate must be able to work well in a team environment and work well across various departmental functions within the company.
  • Candidate must possess the ability to prepare technical presentations as required.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret aerospace engineering drawings, GD&T, procedures and standards and apply them.
  • Must have excellent analytical, reasoning, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Successful completion of an annual eye exam required


Education Requirements


* Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
* Five years' experience in a manufacturing environment - Quality preferred.
