Senior Manager, Tax - Denver, Colorado(Hybrid)

In this role, you will be a critical member of the Transfer Pricing and Tax Compliance functions and provide leadership through analyzing and preparing transfer pricing filings, managing the Company's R&D Credit Study, and ensuring Western Union meets its Global Minimum Tax Compliance requirements.

Role Responsibilities



  • Lead the design, drafting, and review of internally prepared transfer pricing studies (Local Files); review Master File; coordinate and oversee delivery of benchmarking studies by outside providers.
  • Participate in functional interviews and document findings to support transfer pricing studies.
  • Perform transfer pricing review of significant intercompany transactions on a quarterly and annual basis, supporting the development and monitoring of transfer pricing methodologies, including advice related to intercompany agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment of transfer pricing strategies.
  • Assist with foreign cash management and repatriation as needed.
  • Manage the R&D Tax Credit Study and prepare/review Section 174 Calculations
  • Develop and manage Pillar 2 - Global Minimum Tax global tax compliance requirements including, but not limited to, collecting and assessing tax, accounting and company data to determine the impact of Pillar 2, monitoring jurisdictional implementation, and researching and analyzing Pillar 2 technical tax issues.
  • Lead tax-related compliance projects and contribute to joint compliance and strategic tax initiatives.
  • Train and mentor tax department staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth.


Role Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 7 to 8 years of overall corporate tax experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the field of international tax or transfer pricing, preferably at a large multinational firm or major public accounting firm
  • CPA license and/or an advanced tax or accounting degree is preferred.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead and influence others and work effectively across geographies and functions in a matrix organization.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement to streamline information gathering.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise judgment in fast paced and changing environment.
  • Ability to effectively set priorities, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and produce quality work while dealing with interruptions.
  • Proactively develop team members by creating a positive environment where they are challenged, motivated, and groomed for advancement.

Salary

The base salary range is $ 129,429.56 - 172,572.75 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus annual incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
