Description

Qualifications

VNE, LLC is looking for a TS Cleared Inert IED Fabricator Lead

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:



  • High School/GED,Bachelor's degree preferred


Experience:



  • 10+ years' experience in EOD or 10 years experienceInert IED fabrication
  • TS level Clearance required.



Physical Requirements



  • Ability to lift various sizes of boxes/equipment (up to 50lbs), as well as move and unpack boxes.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time working at your desk and walk/stand for extended periods while working in the field environment.
  • Ability to manage smaller projects/builds with little supervision.
  • Ability to run Forklift or other heavy machinery.
  • Employees may be required to travel to various locations up to four (4) times a year for a week at a time to facilitate training.


Job Description:



  • Prior EOD experience or 10 years Inert IED fabrication experience
  • Proficiency in material selection and the use of common shop tools is required.
  • Ability to research and test new and innovative ways to improve training. I.e. containers, switches, circuitry, vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability in electronics, carpentry, metal working, and small-scale fabrication and ability to supervise others in IEDTA fabrication.
  • Design and build IEDTA, including small and large inert devices for training. This includes the ability to build working electrical circuits and replicate explosive fusing and firing systems in a variety of containers and delivery modalities; examples are common household and office items, shipping crates and containers, passenger and larger vehicles, and sheds.
  • Scheduling and management of training
  • Manage labor, material, and facility resources Supervise staff, prioritizing workload and guiding technical aspects of training aid production.
  • Ensure facility and integral components to the facility are always maintained and operational.
  • Create training and training aide quotes for customers.
  • Experience in logistics is preferred but not required.
  • Familiar with Microsoft programs, excel, word, PowerPoint.



WORK ENVIRONMENT



  • Work is carried out in a shop environment that is moderately illuminated, heated, and ventilated. Personnel may encounter unpleasant fumes and are at risk of sustaining cuts and bruises due to the use of tools in confined spaces. Furthermore, there are potential hazards posed by moving vehicles, such as forklifts, operating within the shop area.
  • The job demands the ability to stand, use hands for tasks such as touching, handling, or feeling, and to communicate effectively through talking or hearing.
  • Frequent walking, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is necessary, often in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Occasionally, employees may need to sit, climb, or maintain balance.
  • The position frequently involves lifting items that weigh up to 50 pounds.
  • Employees may regularly encounter moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and vibrations. Additionally, there may be occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold, and a risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level in the work environment is typically loud and may include other challenging conditions.


Essential Duties of the Job:



  • Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
  • Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
  • Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
  • Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face

  • While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. general office environment).
