Role Overview:

The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) serves as a key clinical resource, engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to support the safe and effective use of oncology therapies. This role focuses on delivering high-quality education to nurses and advanced practice providers, while gathering valuable field insights to inform patient service strategies and enhance clinical practice. The CNE also plays a critical role in responding to unsolicited medical information requests in a compliant, reactive manner, ensuring accurate and timely communication of scientific information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with HCPs involved in the treatment and administration of an oncology medication.
  • Educate nurses and advanced practice providers on the clinical profile of an oncology medication including safety and administration requirements.
  • Respond reactively to unsolicited medical information requests from HCPs in accordance with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and consistent communication of scientific information.
  • Identify, gather, and document field-generated insights from HCPs to support innovative patient service strategies.
  • Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with industry regulations and corporate policies.
  • Work on an "as needed" basis

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related healthcare field.
  • Active RN, NP, MSN, or related healthcare degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of oncology therapeutic experience.
  • Strong communication skills and scientific acumen.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification - highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Experience with oncology product administration, including infusion therapies, targeted therapies, or immunotherapies.
  • Strong scientific literacy and ability to interpret and communicate clinical data effectively.
  • Experience delivering clinical education in diverse healthcare settings (e.g., academic centers, community practices, infusion centers).
  • Experience responding to unsolicited medical information requests in a compliant, field-based setting.
  • Familiarity with medical information processes and documentation standards.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and regulatory guidelines (e.g., PhRMA Code, FDA regulations, Medical Information practices).
  • Proficiency with digital tools and platforms used for remote education and field reporting (e.g., Veeva CRM, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
