Job Title: Product Manager II
Location: Kansas City, MO or Charlotte, NC

Job Summary:
Segra is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Product Manager II to oversee the lifecycle of 3-5 telecommunications products, with a strong emphasis on Wi-Fi, Wireless LTE Service (4G/5G), and SDWAN technologies. This role is pivotal in shaping the vision, strategy, and execution of Segra's product portfolio across multiple verticals including Enterprise, Carrier, Government, Education, Channel Partners, and Agents. The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative mindset, technical fluency, and a strong foundation in business or finance. This is a hybrid position with occasional travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Operations:



  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback and align product initiatives with business goals.
  • Conduct market and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare gross margin analysis and monitor financial performance metrics such as unit sales and ARPU.
  • Maintain an 18-month roadmap for each assigned product.
  • Stay current on product technology, pricing, and market trends.
  • Participate in quarterly department meetings to share updates, identify challenges, and align strategies.


Product Lifecycle Management:



  • Manage all phases of the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
  • Assist in vendor negotiations and contract management.
  • Evangelize products internally and provide training on positioning and competitive advantages.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Network Engineering, NOC, Project Management, Procurement, Carrier Relations, and Legal.
  • Oversee development of connectivity and communication solutions, including 5G and Packet Core technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and industry regulations.
  • Educate sales and technical teams on product capabilities and integration.
  • Coordinate product launches with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering.
  • Document workflows, system requirements, and regulatory considerations.
  • Support product retirement and vendor transitions as needed.


Marketing and Technical Writing:



  • Review and edit technical marketing collateral, blogs, and web content.
  • Assist with technical responses for RFPs and strategic sales opportunities.
  • Provide guidance on MSA/SLA product requests.
  • Represent Segra at seminars, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Create white papers, training materials, and competitive data sheets.


Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, CCNA, MEF, CISSP) are a plus.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications product management.
    • Strong knowledge of IP services, security, and cloud environments.
    • Demonstrated expertise in Wi-Fi, Wireless LTE Service (4G/5G), and SDWAN technologies.


  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with order processing, provisioning, and service activation. Experience with vendor selection and contract negotiation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
