UDR, Inc. is now hiring a Benefits Administrator to join our team at our corporate office in Highlands Ranch. GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for the administration and maintenance of employee benefits and benefit plans, with a primary focus on benefits billings, and employee customer service. This position will inform and advise employees on benefit matters regarding eligibility, enrollment, and coverage. Compile and maintain benefit records and documentation, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and ensure timely and accurate billing and reconciliation for all benefit plans. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports directly to the Manager - Benefits/Payroll SUPERVISION EXERCISED: N/A ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Administer and maintain employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans. 2. Manage and reconcile monthly benefits billing statements from vendors; ensure timely and accurate payment processing. 3. Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits coverage, claims, eligibility, and policy changes in a timely and professional manner. 4. Support the bi-weekly 401k funding and troubleshooting process. 5. Support annual open enrollment processes, including communication materials, enrollment support, and data accuracy. This includes other benefits events such as wellness fairs. 6. Maintain accurate benefits records in HRIS and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies. 7. Track and compile claim data and prepare various management and activity reports, as necessary. 8. Assist with benefits audits, reporting, and documentation. 9. Resolve problems and escalate issues to the benefits team leaders. 10. Assist in the management of the benefits shared drive including the shared email box for benefits. 11. Provide back-up support for the benefits team during any absences. 12. Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to ensure correct deduction processing and billing allocations. 13. Assists with special projects within the benefits department. 14. Performs other duties as assigned. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Occasionally lifting items weighing up to 30 lbs. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports. Extensive data input and required ability to sit for long periods of time. Regular and consistent attendance on the job is an essential function. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment. Occasional evening or weekend work. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. 2. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in benefits administration, including billing and customer service responsibilities. 3. Strong knowledge of benefits regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA). 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 5. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. 6. Proficiency with MS Office Suite and HRIS systems (e.g., UKG, ADP, Workday, or similar platforms). 7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred: 8. Experience working with benefit carriers and brokers. 9. Knowledge of payroll systems and deduction coordination. 10. Bilingual communication skills a plus. 11. Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables Benefits Offered:
