See yourself at Twilio Join the team as our next Senior Director, Product Management, Platform Experiences About the job We're seeking a visionary Senior Director of Product Management - Platform Experiences to define and drive our platform strategy and execution. You'll lead a team of PMs owning the foundational services, APIs, and developer infrastructure powering our ecosystem. Partnering with engineering, design, and GTM teams, you'll shape the roadmap for developer tooling, deployment systems, and observability-enabling internal teams and partners to innovate, scale, and deliver exceptional developer experiences. Key Areas include: Developer experience and productivity Platform reliability, scalability, and trust Infrastructure modernization Deployment and operational tooling Cross-product platform standardization Observability across the platform Evangelization of our roadmap and platform capabilities Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Define and own the long-term platform product vision and strategy aligned with company goals with a focus on platform excellence. Anticipate future needs and trends to position the platform as a competitive advantage. Roadmap Ownership: Build and execute a comprehensive platform product roadmap that supports both internal teams and external customers. Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Security, Legal, and other Product teams to ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and extensible. Team Management: Lead and grow a high-performing team of product managers. Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities. Developer Experience: Champion an outstanding developer experience by driving improvements in APIs, SDKs, documentation, sandbox environments, and tools. Platform Governance: Establish frameworks and standards for platform capabilities, data management, service orchestration, and integrations. Drive platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. Performance Measurement: Define KPIs and success metrics for platform usage, reliability, scalability, and adoption. Stakeholder Alignment: Act as the voice of the Twilio platform across the organization (internal development platform, deployment systems, developer experience and tooling, observability, etc.), ensuring stakeholder needs are well understood and incorporated into the product planning process. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table! 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 4 years leading platform or infrastructure-focused product teams. Proven experience developing and managing platform products such as APIs, developer tools, identity/auth, data services, or cloud-native infrastructure. Lead and execute ambitious platform roadmap with measurable outcomes. Strong technical acumen and ability to engage deeply with engineering and architecture teams. Demonstrated ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills. Track record of building and mentoring high-performing product teams. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on multi-tenant SaaS and cloud platforms. Familiarity with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Passion for building scalable platforms that enable rapid product innovation. Location This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA. Compensation Please note this role is open to candidates outside of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State. The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows: Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $203,100 - $253,900. Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $215,100 - $268,800. Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $238,900 - $298,600. This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
