Moog's Corporate Group is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering Team! In this role, you will be responsible for the research, design, procurement, documentation and implementation of Moog Global Server, Storage and Backup infrastructure. You will also oversee our internal infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to our security and compliance policies, and contribute to long-term Moog infrastructure strategies. You will work at hybrid work schedule at our East Aurora, NY facility. To be considered for this opportunity, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
Typically, a four-year Bachelor of Science (BS) college degree in computer science, information technology, or other related technical discipline with over five (5) years of progressive experience in infrastructure administration ideally in a complex global environment Significant experience with enterprise level backup (Veeam preferred) and storage (SAN/NAS) solutions Security-oriented mindset to support and enhance our data protection (backup and malware) strategies Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware), Active Directory and scripting/automation skills (Powershell, IaC) is an advantage Understanding of ITSM and Agile methodologies (ITIL, SAFE) The qualified candidate must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work on-site; relocation assistance is not available for this opportunity. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will...
Work within a great diverse, international team to achieve high performance and innovation. Manage and execute all aspects of technical projects within the domain of the system responsibilities: design and implement complex servers, storage and backup systems, guaranteeing proper release to production. Ensure the existing infrastructure can scale to meet future demands and evaluate and adopt new technologies to maintain a competitive edge. Responsible for keeping critical computer systems online and usable. Demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills, applying their learning and experience to even the most difficult technical challenges. Ensure robust security measures are in place and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements is met. Participate in the IT organization's activities to develop new Moog standards. Attend and contribute to regular inter-department planning sessions. Assure continuity in computer processing in the event of a disaster by maintaining a back-up system that can be used at an off-site location. Promote the development of automation solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Support the development of long-term strategies and roadmaps to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and reliable in the infrastructure domain.
