THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will manage IT procurement projects form pre-solicitation through contract creation and approval. These projects involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders through the development of the statement of work; developing and analyzing business, technical, and functional solution requirements; and providing expert advice that aligns with applicable policies and best practices. You will coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure comprehensive input across technical, fiscal, legal, and business domains, as well as conduct market research to identify procurement options and align solutions with project needs. This includes utilizing procurement best practices to gain an understanding of procurement needs and available solutions in the market.

Our team will rely on you to keep stakeholders and your supervisor informed, capture detailed solution specifications for IT procurements, and identify opportunities for internal process improvement and increased efficiency. Take your talents to the next level with us!

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to four days per week, after the initial training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Procurement Specialist 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Three years of professional experience performing contract management work; and a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, project, or operations management, or a related field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training..
