General Summary of Position
The Clinical Systems and Outcomes Analyst is responsible for data collection, data management, analysis and dissemination of hospital outcomes data; and, for reporting and analysis of healthcare information obtained from a variety of sources including clinical, administrative, financial and demographic data. Identifies relevant clinical and operational process measures from which to assess outcomes. Provides technical support and serves as an internal consultant to the Quality Resource & Regulatory Department. Develops and prepares data analytics to provide meaningful and actionable information.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the strategic functions of the data and analytics team to include identification of data needs, planning, development and implementation of analytic processes. Serves as a mentor and contributes to the successful development of the Quality and Outcomes Department.
  • Is highly skilled in building, analyzing, and creating visualizations of outcomes data.
  • Conducts analysis of hospital data trends against benchmarks. Prepares oral, written and visual presentations of data.
  • Identifies systematic issues with data integrity, develops and proposes solutions. Collaborates with entity and system resources via active participation in project teams and user groups.
  • Serves as a resource to senior leadership and quality managers on metrics and results.
  • Participates in Regulatory Readiness and Patient Safety activities as assigned.
  • Analyzes new software and data management systems as requested.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in health informatics, information science, or relevant field required
    • Master's degree in health informatics, information science, or relevant field preferred

    Experience

    • 1-2 years performing analysis of patient population and/or hospital operational data required
    • Strong experience with using Cerner, Tableau, SQL, Python and other statistical analyses software preferred


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Must be capable of exploring innovative solutions to solve data analytics problems through the use of existing or custom-developed tools.

    This position has a hiring range of $70,428 - $131,310
