The Account Clerk II position provides timely and accurate records that deal with complex accounting and/or bookkeeping procedures at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Salary: Anticipated starting salary range: $26.62-32.36/hour, depending on qualifications.
Working Conditions:
This position is based in a normal office setting with standard business hours, Monday through Friday. The role is fully onsite.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist in audits of financial documents and ensure that documents covering the same financial information match, if they don't match research and document differences
- Process all accounts payable, including contracts, using online transactions, and supporting documentation for accounts payable, purchasing and billing transactions.
- Ensure proper account numbers are used.
- Verify and distribute bills and invoices to proper expenditure accounts.
- Code and approve invoices for payment.
- Research and respond to internal/external questions about invoices and resolve any questions or problems with vendors.
- Audit general ledger interface and accounts payable interface between our event management system, identify issues and relay information to the proper authority.
- Monitor PO use.
- Monitor Master contracts.
- Compile data and prepare reports for management.
- Process purchasing card (P-card) expenditures and serve as the purchasing card coordinator for the department.
- Process, submit and track requests for annual shoe reimbursement allowances and employee reimbursements.
- Verify appropriate coding for personnel and benefit costs. Relay issues to the proper authority.
- Serve as the travel coordinator, assisting staff with completing required paperwork, travel arrangements, registration, and travel reimbursements.
- Deliver excellent Customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent Minimum Experience: Three years basic accounting or bookkeeping experience License/Certifications: Non-required Preferred Qualifications: Post High School education
Selection Process:
The selection process will consist of the following step: a rating of relevant education and experience (100%). It is important that your application show all the relevant education and experience you possess. This information will be used to determine which candidates will proceed in the selection process. A submitted application is also used to verify the answers to any supplemental questions. Only those candidates who attain a passing score (70%) on each step in the selection process will be placed on the eligible list.
