Job Description

The Director Patient Care Resources is responsible for effectively managing the financial, service, and quality goals of the Staffing Office, Patient Care Resources (aka float pool), Rapid Response nurses, Capacity Management Center (Assistant Hospital Managers/Hospital Supervisors), Centralized Monitoring, Inpatient Dialysis that services at both campuses and the Mountain View Campus Emergency Department.

  • Establishes annual goals for areas of responsibility that support the strategic plan.

  • Identifies business opportunities for providing new services or enhancing existing services.

  • Coordinates with other nursing leadership to develop and manage the capital and operating budgets for areas of responsibility.

  • Functions include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and evaluating staff; assisting with quality improvement; meeting regulatory requirements; managing the systems related to registry personnel, float pool personnel and other such groups as deemed appropriate; and handling other projects as assigned in a cost effective environment.

  • Works closely with the ACNO and CNO to develop an effective recruitment and retention plan to ensure the staffing requirements are managed effectively.

  • Collaborates with physicians, clinical managers, and other members of the health care team to promote optimum patient care. Understands and supports the professional practice of nursing.

QUALIFICATIONS

Masters in Nursing (MSN) or related field required.

Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN), healthcare, or management related field required

Five years of management experience required and experience must include management of acute care units.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

Current RN license in California

Salary Range:

$100.72 - $151.08 USD Hourly
