Moog Space and Defense Group is projecting significant growth driven by high levels of U.S. Department of Defense growth. The East Aurora, NY Hypersonic Vehicle Systems (HVS) Team supplies a variety of complex integrated guidance, navigation, and control (iGNC) systems that can include Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems, Thrust Vector Control Systems, Thermal Batteries, Attitude Control Systems, and a Multi-Effector Controller for hypersonic vehicles.

The Systems Engineer contributes as a key technical member on a team of creative, independent individuals to develop, integrate, and verify complex systems. You will report remotely to the Staff Engineering Manager in East Aurora, NY and provide test engineering support onsite at a customer's facility in Cambridge, MA.

To be considered for the Systems Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 3-5 years of professional work experience in the field of Engineering
  • Experience with requirements management; integration, test, modeling and simulation methods; and control system design and verification.
  • Able to obtain (or already have) a US security clearance

As a Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

Test Planning:

  • Develop and maintain any additional PDU test plans, and EGT Test Plans
  • Development and maintenance of MK 8 Test Plans (ITPP, STCP, EGT Test Plans for EDU)
  • Generate and Maintain Test and Analysis Cases (TACs) for Tier 1 and Tier 2 (except SW)
  • Work with Requirements and Interfaces Task to generate and maintain traceability of TACs to Requirements (LOE)
  • Test Procedure Development with Test Execution Sub Task
  • Support Production Planning as needed for PDU
  • Test Cell Requirements
  • Work with Specific Design Areas to ensure all testing interests are captured (Cyber, IMU Design Elements, Accuracy, Reliability, etc.)

Test Execution:

  • Test Procedure Development with Test Planning Sub Task (ISC Support)
  • PETS Script Generation for Test
  • GS Data Script Development (ISC Support)
  • Execution of Test Procedure at various test cells, with the support of specific test cell personnel (ISC Support)
  • Communicate and test issues and test improvements to test cell personnel and test planning subtask
  • PDU System Integration Support on ISTB, working with HWIL to understand how to test on ISTB
  • Test Request System Updates
  • Test Analysis

I & T Descriptive Modeling:

  • Develop and maintain I&T Specific descriptive model used for linking Integration and test use cases to test cell infrastructure, support/test equipment and TACs (ISC Support)
  • Interface with Systems Engineering and Test Equipment to ensure task specific models are in alignment.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $100,000.00-$135,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
