In the Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) team, we have an opening for a Manager, Regulatory Affairs to drive project management, regulatory, technical and other activities for our Designed Enzymatic Biomaterials (DEB) business in compliance with global food contact, cosmetics, and/or other personal care requirements and related regulations to enable entry of IFF's new sustainable products to the market and to maintain the right to operate with existing products.

The DEB platform technology developed by IFF represents a breakthrough way to bio-manufacture materials at scale, combining the performance advantages of incumbent petrol-based synthetic polymers with the safety, sustainability and end-of-life benefits of bio-based processes and materials.
Our Health and Biosciences business unit believes that in-person collaboration is key to fostering innovation and building strong team dynamics. This role will be hybrid/agile from our Wilmington, DE center of excellence.
The Regulatory Affairs Manager will assist in the project management and support the regulatory strategies and initiatives to meet the strategic goals of the HPC/DEB business objectives. This role will bring together regulatory expertise and project management skills to coordinate and drive progress in a cross-functional team effort throughout complex regulatory processes. Responsiblities:
- Responsible for managing regulatory processes in a cross-functional team that is bringing new products to market. This includes working internally and externally to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for execution of regulatory strategies across various projects following best practices and supporting active portfolio management, project management, and cross-functional alignment.
- Responsible for successful product launches in time, budget, and quality, meeting business objectives in addition to regulatory success criteria designed to build sustainable regulatory processes.
- Drive decision-making (start, stop, adjust) on a need basis to achieve regulatory, project, and portfolio objectives through alignment with functional, technical, and leadership teams.
- Create transparency in output of all projects and communicate with impact to stakeholders and through alignment of cross-functional deliverables.
- Continuous adjustment of regulatory strategies, timelines, project deliverables if required for successful product development and launches.
- Project manager of key regulatory programs to bring new product to market
- Interaction and validation of project strategies with global regulatory strategy leader for alignment with global commercialization plans and value partner expectations
Qualifications:
- Masters or Ph.D. degree in relevant technical/scientific/sustainability/business discipline and/or significant experience in regulatory affairs.
- Demonstrated success in regulatory project management and product launches, preferably in the polymer, cosmetics, personal care, material science, or biotechnology field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
- Can lead, influence, and collaborate with teams in a matrix organization.
- Ability to distinguish headlines from details, communicates with impact across organizational and leadership levels.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory agencies, processes, subject matter expertise is an asset.
