Job Summary

The Regional Regulatory Affairs Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving regulatory excellence across the Region. This position ensures compliance with regional regulations while enabling business growth through proactive regulatory strategies, stakeholder engagement, and operational execution. The Director will lead a regional team, manage regulatory submissions and interactions with authorities, and oversee the preparation and delivery of technical documentation to customers. The role also plays a key part in supporting innovation, sustainability initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration with commercial, R&D, and legal teams.
  • Develop and implement regulatory strategies that align with global business objectives and regional market needs.
  • Serve as the regional regulatory lead for cross-functional initiatives, including innovation, product development, and market expansion.
  • Monitor and interpret evolving regulatory landscapes across the Americas or North America, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Oversee the preparation, submission, and maintenance of regulatory dossiers, including new registrations, renewals, amendments, and notifications.
  • Ensure timely and compliant product approvals and renewals across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Lead internal audits and support external inspections by regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure the timely creation, review, and delivery of regulatory technical documentation packages to customers, including product specifications, safety data sheets (SDS), certificates of analysis (CoA), and regulatory declarations.
  • Collaborate with commercial and customer service teams to address customer-specific regulatory documentation needs and inquiries.
  • Maintain documentation templates and ensure alignment with global standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies (e.g., FDA, Health Canada, ANVISA, COFEPRIS) and industry associations.
  • Represent the company in regulatory forums and working groups to influence policy and advocate for science-based regulations.
  • Partner with commercial, legal, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure regulatory alignment and risk mitigation.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing regional regulatory team.
  • Establish and maintain governance processes for regulatory decision-making and documentation.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage regulatory information systems and dashboards for tracking submissions, approvals, and compliance and other key metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on regulatory risks, trends, and performance indicators.
  • Support due diligence and integration activities for mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships.
  • Support regulatory pathways for novel technologies, ingredients, and sustainability-driven innovations.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure regional feasibility of product claims and labeling strategies.
