Job Description

We are currently hiring an Quality Technician in Milton De.

The Quality Technician will ensure the integrity of each product batch and consistent production quality by enforcing good manufacturing practice (GMP) systems, conducting analysis, validating processes, and providing documentation. This position will fill an essential role in monitoring quality programs through regular process checks as well as short- and long-term projects. The QA Technician will collect samples and perform physical, chemical, microbiological, and sensory analysis. This position will properly report all data, findings and issues/concerns to appropriate co-workers and will report directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

What You'll Brew





  • Supports daily Quality Team operations through lab analyses, audits, process reviews, and designated production tasks.
  • Conducts routine and advanced lab testing (e.g., pH, IBU, DO, GC, HPLC, cell counts, sensory, micro plating, yeast transfers, fermentation monitoring, etc.).
  • Maintains lab cleanliness, equipment functionality, and adheres to safety/sanitation protocols.
  • Provides timely, accurate feedback and recommendations on raw materials, in-process, and finished beer quality.
  • Participates in and supports CPI (continuous process improvement) initiatives across all brewery functions; leads by example.
  • Maintains strong working knowledge of brewery operations (propagation, brewing, cellaring, finishing, packaging, etc.).
  • Performs equipment checks, calibrations, standardizations, and troubleshooting; coordinates with Maintenance as needed.
  • Documents, reports, and communicates findings using appropriate systems and tools.
  • Evaluates results against standards; escalates atypical findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Champions sanitation, GMP, and housekeeping standards.
  • Collaborates across departments, fostering positive, solution-focused communication.
  • Works various shifts in support of 24/7 operations.
  • Supports R&D efforts and internal training; contributes to team development and continuous learning.
  • Serves as a quality ambassador internally and externally.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Specialized Roles - Development Levels



  • Packaging - Oversees in-process checks, GMP adherence, quality validations, and production release decisions.
  • Microbiology - Conducts sterile sampling, plating, micro ID, and supports yeast propagation/testing.
  • Analytical - Monitors fermentations, runs GC and other analytical instruments, interprets and communicates daily results.




Physical Requirements

* All production roles are required to pass a pre-employment physical exam to comply with their specific role requirement(s)

* Certain roles may require the use of a respirator and passing the associated fit test

* Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly

* Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces

* Responsibilities may require crouching, stepping over, crawling under, bending, twisting, climbing and reaching above head and shoulders repeatedly throughout the day

* Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs, working from heights or on elevated platforms

* Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection and hard hat)

* Established dexterity so you can handle materials, operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision

Minimum Qualifications:










  • 0-1 year experience



  • Demonstrated knowledge of GMP thru work experience



  • Must be proficient with computers and automated equipment to input and understand data as required. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel



  • Knowledge of basic laboratory and production safety practices and procedures.



  • Knowledge of basic Statistical Process Control (SPC).



  • Must have demonstrated ability to successfully work in a self-directed work force



  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.



Level: 9

In accordance with pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role, if hired, is $20 to $24.40 hourly, depending on location and the candidate's experience level.
