At Advanced Accelerator Applications, a Novartis company, we are committed to leading innovation in nuclear medicine and delivering the next generation of targeted radioligand therapy (RLT) to cancer patients. We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic professionals to join our new manufacturing site in Carlsbad!

The Site Supply Manager is responsible for keeping GMP records of all products received, packed for shipment and shipped from the site. Provides cross-functional support to the production team and finish goods to couriers within DOT/IATA regulations in accordance with local RLT site procedures and policies. Performs periodic inventory cycle counts and maintains inventory accuracy at production sites. Supports any investigations related to deviations and contributes to quality continuous improvement activities as needed. Responsibilities include defining, documenting and implementing business processes. Analyze data and foster continuous improvements. Ensure tools are accessible and organizational goals are attainable and achievable.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop team's supply chain capabilities. Accountable for staffing plans and training, strategic/succession planning, and performance management. Build and lead a high performing organization to support Receiving, Packaging, Kitting and Shipping activities across a 24/7- operation. Effectively manage inventory approximately (mUSD) while supporting RLT network demand.

  • Receives incoming materials, packages finished product for shipment and ships finished product. Perform all warehouse operations including, but not limited to inventory movements, ERP transactions following cGMP. Performs all duties associated with operations in support of manufacturing and quality control.

  • Identify inventory discrepancies by performing periodic inventory cycle counts. Develop process metrics and KPIs that measure accuracy of cycle counts, provide visibility to improvement opportunities, and track progress to initiatives and goals.

  • Network globally to share best practices in order to ensure harmonization and alignment between sites. Identify gaps and inefficiencies for improvement.

  • Manages deviations, quality events, and other Compliance related activities. Target zero overdue deviations. Interfaces with Quality Assurance as required, support any investigations related to deviations, and contribute as needed to quality continuous improvement activities

  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials according to IATA and internal quality standards

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal (FDA, TSA, EPA, IATA, DOT, OSHA), State and local regulations. Ensure and monitor adherence to all company policies and procedures relating to current Good Manufacturing Practices, Novartis Standard Operating Procedures and Health, Safety and Environmental Practice.

  • Accountable and responsible for providing audit support and remediation of audit findings. Interact with regulators and outside stakeholders on business issues or in support of internal and external agency audits.

  • Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.

  • Effectively manage 3rd Party Logistic inventory and account relationships. Develops warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems, evaluating, and recommending new equipment. Works with Materials Planning and Supply Chain Head to build short and long-term capacity models.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science strongly preferred.

  • External candidates: 6+ years of relevant experience preferred.

  • Current Novartis Associates: 3+ years of relevant experience in RLT or other Novartis supply chain role preferred.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: displays a professional can- do attitude

  • Knowledge of procurement/Inventory management systems and procedures

  • Ability to perform duties with the highest regard for safety, quality, and site protocols/policies/procedures

  • Must be able to work in flexible schedule, as this role will be direct responsibility across a 7-day per week operation

  • Cross Referencing skills

  • Must be exceedingly flexible, forward- thinking, motivated, and have the ability to act independently

  • Training and coaching for new associates.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $103,3600 to $192,400 per annum; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/25 through 12/31/25, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
