Inventory Control Coordinator II
Job Description: Inventory Control Coordinator The Role: Our site in San Luis Obispo, CA.is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator. Inventory Control Coordinator partners with a production supervisor to lead a team of operators who perform various operations on the product in accordance with the work orders and information instructions. The role will serve as the main point of contact during operations for employee concerns as well as responding to issues or changes that impact production. The position will also play a key role in the performance management process contributing their assessment of operators to the production supervisor. What You'll Do:
- Serve as primary contact on production floor for non-exempt team members; lead startup activities and ensure production processes are executed on time and safely.
- Monitor production hour by hour performance and escalate issues.
- Conduct start-up and end of shift production meetings.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating work, delegating tasks, and resolving issues.
- Monitor, adapt, and implement production planning schedules to meet demands and changes on the production floor with minimal supervision.
- Partner with supervisor on implementing strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives within department.
- Oversee the verification of the work order, part number, batch numbers and the case quantity to the work order and the packaging specifications.
- Provide employee training, coaching and recognition, hold self and others accountable to company policies and procedures; assist or directly address performance issues with employees.
- Provide input on employee performance and other performance assessments.
- Lead and ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation (i.e., Production Reports, Rack Tickets, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, SAP transactions, etc.).
- Partner cross-functionally to process deviations and quality notifications according to established processes.
- Ensure highest possible product quality and promote adherence to the quality system, ISO and/or other standards.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen activities etc.
- Promote, follow, and hold others accountable to safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Respond to safety concerns, investigate, and resolve potential hazards.
- Assist with ongoing training and cross training programs.
- Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
- Demonstrate and ensure employee accountability to PACE values and PACE Path.
- Demonstrate and promote the capability and willingness to adapt to new, different, and changing requirements and assignments.
- Assist in the reconciliation of inventory counts.
- Complete SAP IM and WM transactions and confirmations.
- Assist in material shortage analysis and issuing shortages.
- Assist, in conjunction with the planning team where required, in adding or subtracting inventory from the Bill of Materials.
- Assist in the management and timely completion of machine shop orders.
- Ability to use Fork Truck and ladders safely and effectively to support daily company and department objectives.
- Support inventory control in conducting weekly cycle counts, delegated inventory tasks, and carry out process improvement initiatives.
- Kit finished and semi-finished goods to specifications from orders utilizing a combination of packaging materials and instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance.
- Complete specified function of 6S responsibilities; specifically, sort, set in order, shine, sustain, safety.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and maintain on-time kitting.
- Work in a team environment.
What We Seek:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehousing experience required.
- Ability to perform tasks of a Material Handler, requiring instruction on only new procedures.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 40lbs daily.
- Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Possess a valid driver's license to drive company truck (no CDL required).
- SAP familiarity a plus.
- Astute attention to detail to drive Safety and Quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
- Ability to perform visual checks and handle material responsibly.
- A high degree of accountability and integrity while achieving the best results possible.
- Problem solving within the confines of established procedures.
- Willingness to share your ideas with your team.
- Your ability to recognize the need for occasional deviation from accepted practices.
- A demonstrated interest in continuing to learn as well as improve processes.

- Compensation: $24-28/hr range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
