PHOTOGRAPHY INTERN -- PHOTOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT Join the Photography department as an intern assisting with research and logistics for an upcoming exhibition on Photography and Asian America. Assignments will include helping to develop and manage object checklists and image files, assisting with the organization of a convening of artists and participants, and primary and secondary source research as directed. Tasks will include data management including scanning, collating, organizing, filing and managing paper and digital files. This position will report to the Byrne Family Curator of Photography.

Internship Qualifications: College or graduate student with a demonstrated interest in art history and photography. Coursework in art history is strongly desired. Qualified candidates should be enthusiastic, articulate, organized, self-motivated, and willing to assist with a variety of administrative and curatorial tasks related to the project. The best candidate will have experience conducting academic research, be extremely detail-oriented and able to work on a variety of tasks as priorities require. Candidates must be able to interact in a professional manner with museum visitors and staff. Must be proficient in Office Suite applications with an emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel. One internship opportunity, 15 hours per week.

The Fall Internship Program will run from September 11 to December 15, 2025, or an agreed upon end date with the hiring manager. A mandatory in-person orientation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Interns are also required to participate in professional development sessions, typically held on Thursdays through December 4th. Please note that session times are subject to change, and some sessions may be conducted in a hybrid format.

This internship provides a $2,000 stipend and requires the completion of 180 hours, which includes participation in professional development programming. This equates to approximately 15 onsite hours per week over the course of twelve weeks. All internships are fully in person and take place on site.
