Human Resources Intern

The Peabody Essex Museum Human Resources (HR) team seeks an individual who wants to gain an understanding of how talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, performance management, HR information systems disciplines are applied in the museum environment. You will work in a collaborative, human-centered learning environment engaging in strategic initiatives.

We have several strategic planning goals to achieve. Are you organized, creative, have strong communication, and software/computer proficiency skills? Do you like working on a variety of projects and administrative duties? Are you interested in assisting with training and development, data analysis projects, and other human resources initiatives?

The Fall Internship Program will run from September 11 to December 15, 2025, or an agreed upon end date with the hiring manager. A mandatory in-person orientation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Interns are also required to participate in professional development sessions, typically held on Thursdays through December 4th. Please note that session times are subject to change, and some sessions may be conducted in a hybrid format.

This internship provides a $2,000 stipend and requires the completion of 180 hours, which includes participation in professional development programming. This equates to approximately 15 onsite hours per week over the course of twelve weeks. All internships are fully in person and take place on site.
