- Supervise, mentor, and develop IT team members, including hiring, performance reviews, professional development, and participating in the selection, retention, and promotion recommendations.
- Enforce company policies and ensure team compliance with operational standards.
- Partner with HR on employee relations matters and team development initiatives.
- Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement and resource allocation.
- Lead IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Create and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Oversee division servers, including setup, maintenance, and data backups.
- Manage hardware systems such as phones and door access, ensuring functionality and updates.
- Monitor system operations and recommend improvements.
- Ensure reliable internet, phone, and network connectivity.
- Oversee Fortinet Enterprise network, maintenance, and firmware updates.
- Maintain system security through upgrades, monitoring, and compliance.
- Provide technical support and training to staff.
- Conduct regular audits to assess system performance and security.
- Collaborate with departments to identify and implement technology enhancements.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of IT systems.
- Exemplify Kingsbury's safety mindset by complying with all safety requirements and acts as a safety ambassador.
- Attend and conduct all company required trainings and meetings. (ie safety and department meetings)
- Oversee and maintain the highest quality standard across Kingsbury products and processes.
- Complete special projects, continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years' experience in Information Technology with 4+ years of supervisory or lead experience in IT required.
- Education: Associate degree or equivalent in computer-science related field required. Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent preferred.
The IT Supervisor must have a strong working knowledge in the following areas:
- Networking & Infrastructure: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Fortinet systems, network monitoring system, SD-WAN/MPLS, structured cabling, data center power and cooling, battery backups and generators, and vendor/carrier management.
- Microsoft Ecosystem: Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Windows Server (AD, Group Policy, PowerShell), Windows PCs, Windows OS environments.
- Security & Compliance: Antivirus, anti-malware, and cyber risk management. Knowledge in cybersecurity tools and training, policy development, and phishing simulations.
- Systems & Device Management: VMware, Veeam backups, HP server management, Intune device management, and IT asset lifecycle management.
- Telephony & Communication: VoIP systems, Teams telephony, and conference room AV technologies.
In addition, it is preferred that the IT Supervisor possess a strong working knowledge in the following areas:
- Device & Application Management: Autodesk products such as Vault, AutoCAD, and Inventor, MasterCAM and other CAM software, PCDimis CMM software, and DNC communications with CNC machines.
- Security & Compliance: familiarity with ISO and CMMC compliance frameworks, as well as ITAR regulations. While not required, experience in these areas is considered a valuable asset.
- Access & Surveillance: Key FOB access control systems, fire and burglar alarm systems, and video camera security systems.
- ERP & Business Systems: Platforms such as Syteline/Cloud Suite Industrial, custom manufacturing software, IT ticketing systems, and project management tools. The role also benefits from experience in business continuity and disaster recovery planning, change control processes, documentation and reporting, and aligning IT strategy with business needs. Familiarity with AI policies, the use of AI products, and their implementation is preferred.
