In this dynamic role, you'll analyze business processes, identify opportunities, and collaborate with peers to design and implement solutions that align with enterprise objectives. This position is ideal for individuals with a technical background and experience in commercial banking or construction lending, who thrive at the intersection of analysis, innovation, and execution.

This position is based in downtown Spokane and will require regular on-site presence. A hybrid schedule may be considered over time, with a balance of on-site and remote work based on performance and business needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Business Analysis



  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of business processes, requirements, and objectives to identify improvement opportunities and innovation potential.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, define, and document business requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
  • Analyze business processes and write system process specifications to be used.
  • Work with clients to determine their business needs to transform them into information technology system requirements.
  • Determine solutions to business software/hardware system problems.
  • Solves a diverse range of complex problems, working with limited direction.
  • Assists with special projects or duties as assigned.
  • Maintains overall knowledge of general banking practices and business unit functions.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required.


Solutions Lifecycle



  • Take ownership of the end-to-end solutions lifecycle, from requirements gathering, design and analysis to implementation and ongoing support.
  • Lead the design and development of comprehensive technology solutions that meet business requirements and align with enterprise strategy.
  • Provide guidance and expertise in solutioning, ensuring scalability, performance, and security of proposed options.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address integration challenges and optimize technology performance.


Stakeholder Communication



  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Present proposals, findings, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders to gain buy-in and support.
  • Frequently interfaces with internal/external partners and makes significant contributions to department goals and planning efforts.


Process Improvement



  • Able to independently or collaboratively identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance workflows, and optimize systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for following change management policies and procedures for system changes and bank control changes.


Risk Assessment and Mitigation



  • Evaluate risks associated with proposed solutions and provide strategies to mitigate potential issues, ensuring the stability and resilience of the systems.
  • Performs compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Associate Solutions Analyst may have 1-2 years of related work experience, as well as some corporate/IT experience and/or competency. Employees at this level will work closely with their manager and more senior Solutions Analysts to receive guidance and assistance as needed and are working to grow their solutioning skills. Expected to focus on enterprise bank strategy while solutioning.



  • Experience in business analysis, project management and end-to-end solution design within the IT industry.
  • Experience in various business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, UML, BPMN).
  • Strong communication skills; ability to analyze, synthesize and articulate complex ideas to multiple levels of the organization; technical writing skills as needed for documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Strong detail orientation with high level of organizational skills and ability to multi-task, managing interruptions with multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative; ability to work well both independently and with others.
  • Functional knowledge of or work experience within supported business unit(s) desired.
  • Ability to work additional hours as required by operational and production work loads.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.


Pay Range: $73,040 - $109,561

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, Washington. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
