POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Pavement & Equipment Supervisor supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Pavement & Equipment Supervisor oversees the maintenance, repair, and construction of paved surfaces like roads and runways.This position will manage teams, equipment, and materials to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.This role often involves coordinating with other professionals, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing budgets.



  • Assigns work detailed to the Pavements/Grounds teams, and oversees work being accomplished by heavy equipment operators.
  • Major areas of responsibility are, but not limited to: construction and repair of P.C concrete and asphalt streets, sidewalks, runways, taxiways, parking areas, miscellaneous hard stands, and all weather surfaces. Maintains adequate airfield drainage.
  • Vacuums and sweeps all runways, taxiways, ramp areas, base streets, and parking lots.
  • Performs snow removal as outlined in snow removal plan.
  • Familiar with the operation of the equipment and the processes used in the Grounds area.
  • Assures safety practices are followed.
  • Responsible for on-the-job training as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ten (10) years' Experience in Pavement Technician.
  • Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience with demonstrated abilities in effectively supervising assigned resources (equipment, material and personnel) and operations' work.
  • Current state driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance. U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.


Preferred Qualifications and Experience:



  • Associate's Degree.
  • Ten (10) years' Experience in Pavement Technician.
  • Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience with demonstrated abilities in effectively supervising assigned resources (equipment, material and personnel) and operations' work.
  • Current state driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance. U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
