Graduate School Job Description
This position serves as the primary receptionist for the Graduate School while also providing support to the admissions and student services units within the Graduate School. * Greeting and assisting visitors and callers by routing to appropriate individuals within the office or elsewhere in the University. * Assisting students with basic questions regarding admissions, degree completion, course registration/registration changes and other processes related to these inquires. * Imputing and updating detailed student data into myZou and other systems. * Scanning and linking of student materials related to admissions and degree completion. * Assisting units within the graduate school with the preparation of various types of student correspondence and data entry projects. * Assisting with special events and commencement ceremonies. * Opening and organizing mail and maintaining the organization and tidiness of copy room and front office areas. * Other Duties as Assigned. Shift
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., One to two weekend days per year. Minimum Qualifications
A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Ideally, candidates would be detail oriented, possess the ability to adapt to learn new technologies, possess great organizational and multi-tasking abilities, have a strong customer service background and a track record of dependability in the workplace. Prefer applicants with proficiency with Microsoft office applications. Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour Application Materials
