Job Summary:

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance the Finance Analyst will provide support to the office of Administration and Financial Affairs for the Kornberg School of Dentistry. The Finance Analyst will assist in all phases of the financial operations with primary responsibilities including access, review and analysis of various financial reports; monitoring and approving supply and equipment orders from faculty and staff; all aspects of accounts payable/purchasing; tracking and processing additional payments made to faculty for treatment of private patients; and making recommendations for improvements to our work processes. In addition, the Finance Analyst will also be responsible for other administrative functions such as assisting with payroll functions, recording staff time off requests, and ordering supplies as well as assisting the school's PPE team with delivering new and collecting used PPE from the school's clinics. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
*Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or another related field with 2 years of experience.
*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Experience:
*Previous experience within a dental, higher education or healthcare setting.

Required Skills and Abilities:
*Must be able to work with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and other external contacts.
*Must have great attention to detail and sound judgments with the ability to multitask, prioritize work and make independent decisions for complex issues.
*Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational and interpersonal skills.
*Excellent customer services skills with the demonstrated ability to calmly handle various complaints, problems, and questions.

Essential duties:
*Processing and approving supply and equipment orders utilizing Temple purchasing systems
*Assisting with preparation, reviewing, and analyzing various financial reports
*Processing and approving vendor invoices and payments
*Process adhoc journal entries
*Assisting with the monitoring of the school's expense budgets and other related funds
*Initiate request for staff/faculty financial profiles
*Tracking and processing additional payments made to faculty
*Implement changes to AP/Purchasing systems as required
*Payroll functions
*Recording staff time off
*Ordering office supplies as needed
*Assisting the PPE team as needed
*Answering and Directing phone inquiries
*Opening and distribution of incoming correspondence (log receipts of checks)

*May supervisor student workers
