DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As part of the Governor's Office of Digital Strategy, you will craft and execute outreach plans, collaborate directly with senior digital leadership, and shape how creators engage with key updates, initiatives, and events. Work involves managing a statewide content toolkit, identifying vibrant online communities from Reddit threads to Facebook groups, as well as helping expand the Governor's public texting program through trend-driven strategies. From organizing influencer events to drafting high-level memos and building a creator-friendly content library, this position offers a front-row seat to innovative digital communications in government. If you are passionate about storytelling, online culture, and making an impact through digital platforms, this is your opportunity to get engaged! Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Given the always-on nature of digital communications, work outside of 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM is expected, as needed.
- In-state travel is required.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to one day per week, if operational requirements allow. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A minimum of two years working in digital strategy, podcasting, and/or government.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a valid driver's license.
- You must be willing to relocate to Harrisburg, PA or surrounding area for in-person work.
- You must have a deep understanding of online social trends on major platforms and an ability to work with content creators, groups, and partners statewide and nationally to amplify Governor Shapiro's agenda online.
- You must have strong writing skills to clearly communicate the Administration's priorities to diverse stakeholders.
- You must be well-organized, with the ability to track several projects, memos, and creator opportunities at once.
- You must be comfortable working within a team to create and plan events from the ground up and sometimes quickly in rapid response moments between the Governor, content creators, partners, and key online issues.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
