THE POSITION
-
The Washington County Community Corrections Department is seeking a strategic and collaborative Administrative Manager to join our executive team. This key position plays an important role in shaping and supporting the department's administrative operations, ensuring alignment with department goals and community needs.
As the Administrative Manager, you will provide guidance across a wide range of operational functions. You'll lead a team of administrative professionals while advising theexecutive team on financial planning, budgeting, and funding strategies. This position also oversees critical support areas including contracting, purchasing, facilities, data analysis, community outreach, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Leading, organizing, and coordinating the department's fiscal, personnel, and administrative operations.
Managing the full budget cycle, including preparation, monitoring, and fiscal control, while forecasting staffing and resource needs.
Coordinating specialized programs including information systems, records management, telecommunications, and report preparation.
About the Department Washington County Community Corrections plays a vital role in public safety by providing community supervision to justice-involved adults in their transition away from criminal behavior and toward becoming positive members of the community. The department also operates the Community Corrections Center, a residential, minimum-security facility that assists individuals in successfully reentering society. We also provide critical services to crime victims and their families. They will have a foundation in budget development and management, and will have advanced technical skills in Excel, data analysis, graphic reporting, and accounting, along with an understanding of how to support and collaborate with executive leadership. A successful candidate will excel at streamlining processes, improving workflows, and navigating cross-departmental collaboration. They are motivated to network, proactive in identifying trends at both the local and state level, and skilled in forecasting and pursuing strategic funding opportunities, including grants. Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills are essential. Most importantly, this candidate brings a genuine interest in public service and a commitment to supporting the mission of community corrections and public safety.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
Education and Experience:
- Possession of a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a major in business or public administration, finance, or a closely related field; AND
- At least five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in administrative, management, intergovernmental, operations, budgetary and similar analyses that includes at least three (3) or more years of professional level supervisory experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Possession of a driver's license valid in the State of Oregon and an acceptable driving record per Washington County policy.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- This position includes occasional evening meetings and in-state travel.
