Job Title: Centralized Support Specialist I
Job Description The role involves being an inbound healthcare contact center representative, managing phone and message inquiries from patients and those involved in their care as they navigate a complex healthcare system. The role includes handling needs tied to insurance, billing inquiries, and appointment management. You should be comfortable with all aspects of healthcare including medical records, authorizations, referrals, and coordinating care among members' care partners such as pharmacies, testing laboratories, specialists, and insurance providers. Responsibilities * Collaborate with providers and other operations team members to complete urgent tasks. * Use impeccable C-I-CARE in all patient interactions to ensure a positive virtual experience. * Utilize technology suite including Slack, Google Suite, Zoom, and Electronic Medical Record System 1Life to interact with team members and patients. * Contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, participating in team problem-solving, and supporting in-office providers with ad hoc requests. Essential Skills * Minimum 1 year of high-volume contact center experience and minimum of 1 additional year of direct customer service experience. * Or 2 years of high-touch, patient-facing healthcare service roles. * Strong written and verbal communication skills, including impeccable phone manner. * Strong multitasking skills with proficiency in computers and phones while navigating multiple software systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience in scheduling appointments, patient registration, patient access. * Knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing, medical claims, insurance verification, EOB, ERB, and prior authorization. Work Environment The role requires handling high-volume inbound calls and tasks between calls with a focus on customer service and HIPAA compliance. The job is 100% in-office, with a fast-paced classroom-style training requiring 100% attendance for the first five weeks. The position operates 24x7 with shift availability between 6am-6pm. Employees must be available for at least one weekend day, and shift differentials apply for specified hours. Training hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, Arizona. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.
