Loan Review Analyst

Responsible for assisting with the analysis of new and existing individual commercial and agricultural credit relationships. This position reports to the Senior Loan Review Officer.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Assist with the financial analysis on loan reviews as assigned, including those as determined by policy approved by the Board of Directors.
  • Contact Loan Officers for additional information in order to complete financial analysis of reviews.
  • Keep review files accurate, complete, and organized.
  • Communicate analyses to respective team member of the department that will further analyze the credit.
  • Assist in tracking the Problem Loan Reports and Watch Loan Reports for the Bank as well as update the previous quarter end balances and collateral analysis sections of the reports.
  • Track and log appraisal exceptions for presentation to the Loan Administration Committee.
  • Assists in tracking and logging all risk grade changes for the monthly reports.
  • Track and log completed loan reviews and the respective risk ratings as well as technical exceptions and recommendations and produce the respective monthly reports for presentation to the Loan Administration Committee.
  • Assist in gathering and preparing documents and completing procedures for external or outsourced parties.
  • Update the Bank's operating systems with completed work from all department members.
  • Performs assigned required functions within the department when other resources are not available.
  • Complete required training associated with job function.


Qualifications

Education/Experience:


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred with an emphasis in business or finance, or commensurate banking experience.


Skills:


  • Retrieve information quickly and efficiently.
  • Detail oriented and possess high level of organizational skills.
  • High level of analytical skills.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve established outcomes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced training in Microsoft Excel preferred


At First Mid, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of discretionary short-term incentives (i.e., bonus, incentives, and/or commission). Pay Range: $19.66 - $24.50 per hour
