THE POSITION

We are seeking an ambitious Maintenance Repairman 2 to conduct a wide-range of duties in areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting as we strive to keep our facility in good working order for the safety and leisure of our residents. We are located near the borough of Selinsgrove, just a few short minutes from town, Selinsgrove area schools, and Selinsgrove University. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 2, your duties will encompass a wide range of specialized projects related to the maintenance and upkeep of various systems and structures throughout the Selinsgrove Center. Work will involve the repair of commercial and residential housekeeping equipment, water lines, sewer lines, drains, steam systems, and condensate return systems, in addition to the repair and installation of electrical equipment and commercial appliances. You will also participate in the construction or renovation of rooms, floors, walls, windows, doors, and other related structures. This position involves the operation of various power and hand tools in order to complete projects and assignments. Safety is of the utmost importance, therefore it is essential to consistently adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Overtime and travel as needed.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements:

  • You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
