Location:

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday

8:00am - 5:00pm

Additional hours as needed to fulfill the needs of the department.

Function: Responsible for the preparation and review of documents in the Letter of Credit Department. Assumes responsibility of the Letter of Credit Department in the absence of the Letter of Credit Manager. Responsible for completing various Loan Servicing related tasks and projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reconcilement of application system to multiple loan general ledger accounts and deposit clearing accounts

  • Performs special projects utilizing a comprehensive understanding of the IBS Insight Loan System as it relates to customer service, system interface, and compliance with S&T Bank and Regulatory policies.

  • Preparation and billing of Letter of Credit commitment fees.

  • Prepares, formats, and processes letters of credit in strict compliance with Bank Loan Policy.

  • Works with the Loan Records Department to maintain proper underwriting of letters of credit.

  • Prepares entries for the proper funding of letters of credit.

  • Provides expertise to loan officers and branch personnel in issuing or negotiating letters of credit.

  • Represents the Bank as intermediary between applicant and beneficiary of letters of credit.

  • Acts as a liaison between S&T Bank and correspondent banks for international letters of credit.

  • Sort mail and log deliveries received at North Fifth Street location

  • Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn the organization.

  • Assist Department Management with Special Projects

  • Performs additional duties as required

Education

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized training or a two-year degree.

Experience

Five to ten years general and specialized experience, including specific knowledge of commercial loans, ability to retrieve information in Metavante Insight to include, but not limited to commercial loans, deposit accounts and to perform advances and transfers, and sound knowledge of wiring policies and procedures.

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device: 35% of the day; operates electronic equipment: 15% of the day; use of phone: 30% of the day. Sitting is required. Walking is required. Routinely lifts up to 15 lbs., maximum lift is 20 lbs. Use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 40% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer work. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
