Licensing and Operations Specialist

Overview

The Licensing and Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence for the Palisades restart project. This position involves developing and reviewing procedures, managing licensing processes, and conducting compliance audits to align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update operational procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Manage licensing applications, renewals, and documentation for the restart project.
• Conduct regulatory compliance reviews and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with engineering, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of licensing requirements.
• Maintain detailed records of licensing activities and compliance documentation.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to address inquiries and ensure adherence to licensing laws.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on regulatory compliance and licensing procedures.
• Monitor changes in regulations and update internal policies accordingly.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in licensing, regulatory compliance, or operations within the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of nuclear industry regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools for documentation and compliance tracking.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with NRC regulations and licensing processes.
• Experience in procedure writing and document control.
• Knowledge of constructability design integration and outage management.
• Experience related to licensing / regulatory assurance maintaining facility licensing basis, permitting, or license extension.

$100 - $150 per hour
