Overview:

The Asset Management & Trust Market Leader is responsible for leading a team of Wealth Advisors and Trust Officers in growing market revenue, leading new business development activities and delivering a superior client experience. Represents Cadence Asset Management & Trust as the senior leader both in the community and with internal bank partners to expand brand recognition and develop market growth strategies and new business opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Accountable for an overall market sales and revenue goal met through the acquisition of new clients from internal and external sources, and the retention and expansion of the existing client base.
  • Coordinates all market segment activities related to the delivery of solutions of a comprehensive wealth management strategy for individuals, business owners, and/or families.
  • Work closely with the relationship team of Wealth Advisors, Portfolio Managers, and Trust Officers to coordinate team communication and activities. Recommend ideas, suggestions and alternative wealth solutions by utilizing a team of specialists as applicable.
  • Responsible for leading the development of sales strategies to grow client book of business. Provides sales coaching to team members to ensure clients have access to all resources and solutions of the firm.
  • Creates individual advisor business plans and implements specific guidelines that describe the responsibilities, performance standards and individual development goals for each member of the team.
  • Responsible for managing pipeline and calling activities to ensure new business opportunities are progressing through the sales cycle to meet or exceed the defined sales goal.
  • Represent the Bank in civic and community activities.
  • Develops and maintains an active pipeline of candidates geared towards recruiting top talent in their market or region.
  • Responsible for oversight of the advisory team related to meeting targets beyond sales production, including the number of internal and external referrals and COI development.
  • Develops the team through motivation, coaching, skills development/training, and product knowledge.
  • Effectively manages expenses, always striving for the most efficient approach to business strategy and execution.


    Education and Experience Required:



    • Bachelors' degree and a minimum of 12 years of wealth management, investment, trust or estate planning experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years managerial experience
    • Proven track record of sales production and/or management in wealth management or banking.


    Education and Experience Preferred:



    • MBA (Master's degree in Business Administration) or JD (Juris Doctor).
    • Securities licensing, CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CTFA (Certified Trust and Financial Advisor), CPA designation
