SUMMARY
-
Responsible for servicing the Court House and other County building performing a variety of duties which may include, but are not limited to, the delivery of supplies, snow removal and minor repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Timely delivery of supplies, bottled water, furniture, etc. to various county locations, and the loading and unloading of the items and the distribution of same. Provide the setup for special events such as news conferences, dedications, etc. This will include providing appropriate seating podiums, speakers, water, etc. Setups may be required without prior notification. Responsible for snow/ice removal, cleaning the outside of county buildings, using sweepers, cleaning marble, digging, grout cleaning, etc. Snow emergencies will require mandatory overtime hours. Building Services personnel will receive any designated assignment from supervisors. Each chore will receive appropriate attention. Individual is required to be familiar and follow guidelines for the utilization of safety equipment for operating vehicles, trucks, sweepers, plows, power tools, etc.. Training and discipline should be implemented at all times.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge of mechanical repairs. Current valid PA drivers license. Good communication skills. Completion of Safety Training required. Basic knowledge of the use of power tools.

This job may require employee to lift, pull and push equipment. Requires the ability to stand and walk during an entire work period. Requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in hot/cold/wet weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. Exposure to high levels of equipment noise.
