Join Cytek Biosciences and empower global scientific breakthroughs - where your firmware expertise helps drive our awardwinning Full Spectrum Profiling systems and enables lifechanging discoveries. As our next Firmware Engineer, you'll drive the stability and performance of Cytek's cuttingedge cytometer and robotic platforms. You'll shape firmware architectures, optimize algorithms, and lay the foundation for secure, production-grade releases. Impact both the R&D pipeline and our field-deployed systems, ensuring our technology delivers reliable, real-world performance.
What You'll Do
Architect & implement firmware for embedded systems in C/C++ (ARM-based). Design and calibrate algorithms that enhance system accuracy and reliability. Collaborate tightly with software, hardware, and electrical-mechanical teams to troubleshoot root causes across electronic, mechanical, and fluidic subsystems. Translate field insights into firmware improvements-analyzing data and generating proposals for design updates. Develop manufacturing support tools, including PCB burn-in routines, installation procedures, and test benches. Maintain code integrity, ensure latest firmware is deployed in production, and support transfer to manufacturing. Contribute to documentation, including final test procedures, field service guides, and compliance artifacts.
Who You Are (Requirements)
Musthaves
Bachelor's in electrical or software engineering (Master's preferred). 5+ years of embedded C/C++ development on ARM platforms. Proficient with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, and schematic review. Experience with multi-subsystem devices (electronic, optical, fluidic, application SW). Competent with Windows, MS Office, ECO systems, and Device History Records.
