What does the job involve?

Summary: Provides a full range of information technology support services, maintains the computer networks, providing technical support. Monitors and maintains the company computer systems, installs and configures hardware and software, and solves technical problems.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:



  • Manage Tier 1 help desk escalations through internal ticketing system providing technical support
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues using diagnostic techniques
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
  • Redirect unresolved issues to the next tier
  • Ability to properly document issues and their resolution
  • Participate in departmental process improvement initiatives and implementations
  • Maintain technical documentation and service catalog on installation of software and configuration
  • Follow all Senior policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:



  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar relevant field; or 2- 3 years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Required Skills:



  • Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Mathematical Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Other Abilities: Ability to troubleshoot computer hardware/software issues with minimal to no assistance. Ability to install computer equipment. Ability to install and run programs such as office 365, various engineering applications and software that are supported within the scope of the organization.
