Position Summary:

The Customer Service Representative reports to the manager or supervisor of the Patient Transport Department. Receives telephone requests from patient care units to transport patients within the Hospital. Coordinates the movement of patients to ensure timely and efficient service by Transport Associates (TAs). Ensures that accurate, up-to-date patient information is transmitted to TAs regarding patient transports. Monitors the patient tracking system to identify and address potential issues. Must provide thorough and timely follow-up via phone calls, written communication, fax, or email to provide follow-through on patient transports. Channels customer complaints and irregularities to supervisors and managers as appropriate.

Shift - Rotating shift on weekends, and Day Shift on weekdays - 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, 40 hours per week. Every third weekend and every other holiday.

Requirements:



  • A high school diploma or a G.E.D. certificate is required. An associate's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in customer service within a healthcare setting is preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum $16.40/hour - Maximum $27.09/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.



In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
