Overview The Leak Detect Technician will use a variety of hand and power tools to troubleshoot/repair/calibrate leak detect equipment, perform preventative maintenance duties, and monitor equipment/operations to meet quality and safety standards. This position works 4 - 10-hour shifts, Monday - Thursday. Mandatory overtime will be required due to schedule or sales forecast changes which include Friday and Saturday. Responsibilities
- Understand and comply with current LOTO procedure
- Safe operation of tools and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines
- Complete paperwork accurately and timely
- Trouble Shoot/repair leak detect equipment
- Monitor equipment/operations to meet quality and safety standards
- Cleaning of leak detect chambers
- Rebuilding of leak detect pumps
- Calibration of leak detect chambers
- Conduct FE discharge tests as required
- Other duties as assigned by Dept. Manager
Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to pass a post offer drug test, background check, and physical review.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and self-motivation skills
- Willing to train, work, and rotate through all department work stations and work in other departments as needed.
- Capable of working in seasonal high temperatures and humidity (conditioned air environment).
Working Conditions The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those and employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position may involve potential exposure to hazardous materials, and environmental changes (heat/cold), and the employee must be able to work under stress occasioned by production requirements, personnel, and the needs of other departments, utilizing proper body mechanics. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of standing/walking and performing light physical labor uninterrupted for periods of up to three (3) hour intervals.
- Frequently bend, stoop, push, and reach during the shift.
- Frequently stand, walk, climb ladders, and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, and balance.
Additional Information
Eighteen (18) years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
