Description Job Description TEKsystems is seeking a Systems / Network Engineer in Dahlgren, VA. Responsible for maintaining multiple computing environments by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance, and managing network configuration consistency. The Systems/Network Engineer will provide engineering, design, and implementation solutions for multiple network architectures. . Responsibilities: o Implement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, & other data networks. o Experience with network routers and switch configuration experience. Environment includes Artysen, Cisco, Mellanox and Asante switches. o Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance. o Perform network modeling and analysis. o Define diagrams and designs for business technology initiatives. o Enforce policies for standardizing systems. Requirement so Three years of experience in networking, IT, or other related fields preferred o Familiarity with researching communication networks o Must have strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills o Strong attention to detail, good documentation skills, ability to write clear, concise project reports o Ability to function with minimal instruction or supervision, or as a part of larger team reporting to formal project Skills Network engineering, Cisco routers, Wan Top Skills Details Network engineering,Cisco routers,Wan Additional Skills & Qualifications Nice to have is BGP/IPV6 experience and solid 3-4 layer experience, Openstack experience Most candidates come from:(There is a bridge that connects Maryland to Dahlgren) 1) La Plata, MD - 25 min drive 2) Fredericksburg, VA - 35 min drive 3) Leonardtown, MD - 40 min drive 4) Stafford, VA - 45 min drive 5) Quantico, VA - Around an hour drive Experience Level Expert Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
